At Memolane we watch a lot of documentaries in our spare time, and it is no surprise that we are fascinated and intrigued by people who are devoted to documenting the world around us. The other day I came across the film “Bill Cunningham New York” by Richard Press. I am in awe of Bill, the New York Times’ venerable photo columnist, and one day I hope that the contents of his filing cabinets will make their way onto a Memolane.
His work is a treasure of visual history and it makes me wonder what other riches will be revealed in the future as more and more of us are actively documenting our lives with social media every day. Do you have a daily documentation routine with social media or photography? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below.
